12-20

Christmas is coming..... We went shopping tonight for Santa in Blues. Terry bought presents for 12 kids, we always have a lot of fun and the kids are a big help. They made me so proud when they tucked money into the Salvation Army bucket, too. But now we are tired.

I loomed a sheep today. I was so touched when Terry picked it up and started playing with it and said WOW you made this? He took it to work with him. Very quick little project. I don't have the spool loom to make the legs so I made flat panels and stitched them up which was very quick. The white yarn is Yarn Bee Frosting. And he is stuffed with cotton balls.

Dad I cashed the check today, thank you. The kids also received the cards from Grandma, they loved them.

Good night, Merry Christmas.

12-19

Good morning, I've been too tired at night to write but here I am. We have been very busy these last few days. We went to the movies Sunday and saw Eragon. I liked it and looked forward to seeing it again with text. Casey went with us to the matinee. Brian spent Friday night and the boys played on the computer. Terry and I watched The Da Vinci Code and we watched football Sunday night so we had a busy weekend with shopping and laundry doings too.

Yesterday I loomed a hat with Yarn bee Frosting and Red Heart TLC Amore. It was very easy. I will make another today but make some changes.

Nick has gone to school and I doled out oatmeal and vitamins and cleaned the dishes so I'm looking forward to resting. Good talking with you this morning Dad.

12-14

Brr it was cold this morning, feels like Christmas. Terry had his last retirement class today. He looked like he was going on a job interview this morning. Nick did not want to wake up this morning, I don't blame him, I don't want to wake up either. Steffi had problems this morning, she cannot fit into her jeans. The medicine is making her gain weight cause she can't stop eating. Granted, gaining weight is a good thing for her.

I finished a project for loom class. Don't freak out Jessica, this is not a hint for you to have a baby, lol.

Easy Baby Booties

We took the kids to Goodwill tonight but they could not find any jeans that fit. Steffi did find some skirts. We then went to Lowe's for a shop vac which I have wanted for a while since we don't have carpets the upright vacuum does a poor job on the hardwood floors. After Lowe's we bought dog food.

Nick is so tall, he's grown another inch since summer. He's only 13 but he's 6'1". I call him shorty. He hates that.

And a picture for Jessica.

Goodnight~~

12-13

Whoo boy, I was busy today. I did a lot of looming, plus took a nice nap. When Nick got home from school I went outside to watch him play on the trampoline. While we were outside Jessica and Nate dropped in, but they didn't stay long.

I made red beans and rice for dinner, yah!! Terry had school tonight and he had retirement class today. He barely gets to sit down before he has to go do something else.

Steffi and I watched The Ron Clark Story tonight, that was sad and inspiring. She put my hair into ponytails and modeled a hat/scarf/mittens set I made. Then the whole family played Uno. Steffi won!!

I want to go finish up a purse for the loom class. Goodnight.

12-12

Hey hey, today was sunny and bright, almost felt like summer. Got the kids off to school fine this morning even though I was bleary brained. Staying up late watching movies, bad idea, heehee. Terry had a retirement class today, something about writing resumes and what to expect on job interviews. AHEM, 2 forms of identification and mandatory social security card. Glad it's not me. Oh Terry took me to the laundry mat during lunch and we walked to Podnuh's, yeehaw.

Tonight after a quick dinner of hot turkey sandwiches we took Andy his red white and green scarf. He said thank you very much and gave me a hug. They have really done a lot of work at the fencing club, was neat to look around. After we visited we took the kids to Wally World to do some Christmas shopping and we all had a blast. Then we hit Hobby Lobby. Steffi wants a shawl so she picked out yarn. Gee I walk into that store and it's like eyes popping out, all that yarn, all that yarn, all that yarn.....

Hope you feel better tomorrow Dad and Eileen!!

12-11

Merry Christmas Dad!

Hola!! Today was wet and cold but I am in a sunny mood. Jessi and Nate came for a visit before dinner and lent Steffi the dvd named Pirates Dead Man's Chest. Thanks!! Terry Steffi and I watched the movie tonight. It was the first time I'd seen it with words so I was happy to learn the story line. It was better watching it in the theater, Johnny Depp's huge eyes, heehee. I hear we're going to a movie this weekend. Another movie I'll critique the cinematics out of since there is no script or book around for me to read first.

I mailed off Christmas presents today and now I am broke. But I am glad I did something. Since Steffi had gone to the hospital and is blessedly home things have not been all on course around here. But Steffi is doing very well and I love the moments she shines through and shows her true self.

Ut oh Steffi ran away with the camera or I'd post some new pictures.

Here's one of me and my favorite loomed hat, heehee. Steffi took this yesterday.

12-8

I finally put a pom pom on the hat so I am posting this project again. Amy had to mention pom poms so here you go Amy, a huge one. I sent this set to Amy along with another hat scarf set, a bliss hat, and a shawl with a matching hat. My finished projects box is much thinner, lol.

Here is how I made this scarf set.

Hat ewrap 3 rows, then bring up the cast on row like a hat brim.
Garter stitch tip for 11 rows
Do the rest of the hat as ewraps, I did about 20 rows.
On the last row move peg1 to peg2 and knit off, peg3 to peg4, knit off, continue around loom and then use the gather method to take the loops off.
Scarf is 11 rows of garter stitch tip, 20 rows of ewraps, repeated and ending with 11 garter stitch tip rows. I crocheted to bind off and then added fringe.
For the huge pom pom, I wrapped the yarn around a DVD case, carefully pulled the yarn off and tied it around the middle, then cut the ends. A nice huge pompom. I love the yarn, Wool Ease Thick&Quick.

Terry took me to the mall yesterday for some Christmas shopping and then we mailed Amy's present and got stuck in traffic so we took backroads and that made us feel good to beat the traffic.

Steffi cleaned her room spotless so she spend the night with Casey. Brian spent the night over here with Nick. We had turkey sandwiches for dinner.

Terry and I watched the DVD You Me and Dupree. We really enjoyed it.

My Dad is going on vacation. I dreamt last night the Jessica and Nate were sleeping on our living room floor cause they didn't have no where to sleep. Bye bye!!

Dec7

Yeah I finished the 5th stocking today. Now I'm just waiting for the embellishment class to finish them up. I worked on it from 7am to 12pm. 5 hours with little breaks to take the dogs out, snack, check email.

Terry made lunch today and finished making dinner tonight. Turkey and rice soup, both yummy. He also took me to the pet store for some filter media for the turtles and a new heat lamp, plus we went to Lowe's to get a concrete block for them to bask on. They keep knocking their ramp over and I'm scared they are going to break the glass.

We also went to Hobby Lobby for a skein of yarn to embellish the stockings, but Terry bought me two skeins. Isn't he sweet.
Nick and Steffi both had good days at school. I read Nick my book report tonight that he assigned to me last week and he gave me an A+ Good Job grade. He's sweet too. And speaking of sweets, Steffi likes to eat sweets now. Lots of sweets. She is sweet too.

She gave me and Midget back rubs tonight.
I loomed a mitten tonight while Steffi watched a movie. I'll make it a mate tomorrow. Terry just saw the mitten and said WOW, you did that???

Good night. Some people wanna fill the world with silly love songs, what's wrong with that, I'd like to know..... Terry just signed that to me. He is listening to 80's music.

Oops, gotta go Nick wants milk, he's in bed reading. We're going to the library this weekend and pick out a new book for me to read to him. I wish I could hear again, so he could read to me.

Hey Jessica, where are you? Sorry I missed you today Dad, I'm thinking about you.

Yah!! Amy sent us cookies, cookies, cookies and yarn yarn yarn!! What a treat. Come have some cookies Jessica.

Nicky came home from school with 2 neat pictures he had drawn. One is his name drawn like a ribbon with a rose. Really cool. Another was an art classroom. He gives such attention to detail, it's amazing.

Steffi came home in a good mood and we had a nice afternoon. She shared some meat jerky with me while we watched TV. We played Uno a little tonight with just the blue and green cards. Funny and fast.

I finished another stocking, so now we have 4, one more to make tomorrow. I also made some slippers for sitting on the couch.

Terry had school tonight, a terrorism class, bleck. I want to go curl up with my electric blankie. Goodnight
